Food delivery

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook Send Gmail

Up with the sun all the picking is done off to the Christian Crises Center we go!

We have a truckload of all kinds of vegetables and fourteen dozen eggs.

It feels good what we are doing, but why is it that everytime I go there I leave feeling like I want to do more?

It’s hard to see so many in need but I do love the happy faces when I show up. I can feel the glimmer of hope and love from those that have come to know us. This is our third year and I am determined to make it our best.

Life is not all about material items we just seem to have a need for. Life is expressing who you are and what you can do to give others what they need to be who they are and be the best they can be.

Love for one another, a smile, a nice jesture, it doesn’t take much. You never know how the person you just met or past on the street feels or their situation. That simple smile just might be what they needed.

Some Photos from the Farm

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook Send Gmail

I promised to share some photos of the farm.

This one of is kinda funny, the tractor broke down and a friend said” don’t worry bro I got something that will pull a disc.”

This is Henrietta, she is queen chicken around here. You can see the chain link pen and old horse shed we put them away in at night. We deliver eggs to the shelters also.  The girls have been laying up to 30 eggs a day lately and the shelters really love them!

We do grow some pumpkins each year as a cash crop to help with expenses for feed, fuel, seeds and tractor repairs etc.

That is me and my grandson, that’s a big pumpkin and it’s one of my favorite pictures!

Thanks for stopping by, if you grow a garden grow an extra row and take the produce to a shelter near you.

Doing God’s work one row at a time.

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook Send Gmail

I am pleased to say this has been a great growing season!
There has been a lot of food given to the shelters and to a lot of family’s in need.
We have been picking regularly, here is a photo of us picking just a sample of what has come out of the garden.

There are a lot of family’s that need help, not money, food.
If you grow a garden then why not grow an extra row?
Take food to the shelter in your neighborhood.
An extra hour or two in your garden can make a big difference to those in need.

Have a good weekend,
Paul

Bountiful Harvest

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook Send Gmail

I am pleased to tell you, we had a bountiful harvest this year.

There is so much food it’s awesome!
We started picking today, there should be a nice load of bell peppers, corn, string beans, tomatoes and more.

Grow food not lawns and grow an extra row for your local shelter.

This Tuesday we will be taking more food to the shelter.
